“Yes, you may insert a witty summary of your choice in place of this entirely useless block of text. The reason why I left it blank to begin with is open for interpretation. I might have done it because I don’t much like writing narrative summary, or I might have done it to emphasize that this review completely shatters my SRT, or I might have done it simply because, as so often happens, my brain simply could not come up with a simple summary. You take the call.”

“Stel…I don’t even know what SRT is.”

DragonFable: Release Analysis, 02/12/2010

It comes around every year: Hero’s Heart Day. For love, honor, and chocolate sales!

Just as a quick update, Endon will be reviewing the upcoming ArchKnight finale (and be a lot quicker about it than I usually am, if all goes well); we’ll be working together to cover DF releases in the future, at least until Perpetual Enigma returns. You all can expect to find out more about this recent turn of events in the next week or so.

MechQuest: Release Analysis, 02/05/2010

First two quests in the Bloodrock Mountains Necryptos zone, a challenging new Vampire enemy, a playable mecha version of the challenging new vampire enemy available for NGs, and salvage items based on the challenging new vampire enemy.
(I don’t want to say “challenging new vampire enemy” again for at least two weeks–oh wait, I just did.)

MechQuest: Release Analysis, 01/29/2010

Korin and Company have really been on a roll recently; this release contained the entire Fangor mini-zone and a new NPC. (Technically, there were two new NPCs.) Note: This review only covers last week’s release, not this week’s. That’s the schedule I’ve set for myself.
And while it was technically released earlier in January and falls under the unreviewed releases, the Automorph is so close to being the February Monthly Mech that I’ve included a short overview of it here. If I have time and if there’s any interest, I may write a full review of the Automorph at the end of February.

And with that said, let’s get to the actual review!

Dragonfable: Critique on the Release of December 11, 2009

On the second week of Frostval, the moglins gave to us… the first new quest of this year’s Frostval chain, the latest in Zorbak’s Legion, and a brand new map of Lore in Serenity’s Inn. Once again, the moglins of Frostvale (and Twilly too) have gone missing, and it’s up to Ice Master Yeti and us to find them before the celebrations are ruined. Meanwhile, Zorbak is looking to ally with the gorgeous Vampire Queen Safiria, but there’s something (else) nasty afoot for the leader of the vampires. Lastly, Serenity’s Inn has received a new map of Lore, replete with almost every destination that we could think of west of Battleon.
