Is There Anybody Out There?

I have returned, a much changed man of course. The years have been kind to me, and I find myself now in the midst of one of the most exciting moments of my life. However, throughout the years I was never able to forget this small, I supposed ultimately unimportant blog. United Lore as it is has become obsolete. Many blogs have gone above and beyond the goals we had once originally thought. Furthermore, sites like Tumblr, promoting user accessibility as opposed to having greater control of your content. Nonetheless, United Lore was a dream that in my opinion does not deserve to die. What exactly it is that we shall become is uncertain, but it is my hope that this blog may indeed be resurrected. Any who have interest in joining me in this project should email me at chickencowlord42@gmail.com. I pray that this blog will again see the light of day and provide honest, accurate feedback on games, be them Artix games or games of every other sort.

EpicDuel: PvP’s Biggest Downfall

As the biggest and most attractive feature of EpicDuel, PvP plays a vital role in the current game’s state, and one can surely argue that without the fully-functioning PvP, EpicDuel wouldn’t exist at all. EpicDuel’s PvP is overall a very well-done mode, as 1v1 and 2v2 matches are available almost instantly, the combat and strategic mechanics are strong, varied, and balanced, and the action is in tip-top shape with fast-paced, smooth-flowing fighting. All of this is all well and good and serves as a strong foundation for a game with tons of potential, but PvP is still missing one critical feature that ruins the experience, and henceforth nearly the entire game. Initial Thoughts On EpicDuel

EpicDuel has been re-released under AE’s guidance for members of any of AE’s other games, and I’ve had a chance to play around with the game. It has its pros and it has its cons, and ultimately it’s a fun experience that has some work to do to ultimately bring it up to the standards of AE’s homegrown games.

DISCLAIMER: I have only played EpicDuel for a few hours, and so these pros and cons are based off of limited playing time. In other words, these are not fleshed out opinions and are basically quick impacts I felt from playing the game for a bit.
