My favorite is with teh advanced raven.
head: thunder head
shoulders: both default (explosive sniper)
arms: both raven devastator

The idea is to use the thunder head to get either a defensive or offensive boost, then to follow up with the smokescreen for even more defense and offense. if you get the defense boost from the head you will be ALMOST untouchable (+50 defense to you, -50 accuracy to them) and if you get the offensive you will be at the effect limit. then use the arms, the devastator has a chance to increase its damage by 75%. if they're still alive, finish with the explosive snipers. with crit slug, they don't really need a boost. the problem is you have to be mystraven to use this build

Uh dude i know this article has been up for awhile...but the whole "switch to a random instance" doesn't really work that well if the annoying player has any idea of how to use the /goto command. All they have to do is type /goto and they'll be able to follow you to the same instance. This is why AQworld's system of instances isn't foolproof.

I very much enjoyed the end of this year's Mogloween, the end was a lot better compared to some of this year's other quests. I am happy that it brought up the spy, which I thought the team had forgot about. I am also quite intrigued by the Ravenloss underground, this has a lot of potential.

Although, I still believe new players or players who missed Mogloween will miss out on a lot of plot to do with our new friend, Tomix.

While I'm glad they brought back Trick or Treating this year, I found it too much like the previous Trick or Treating events, and it was also quite a farm for the masks that weren't even all that interesting. I liked the new weapons and helm though.

And I'm pretty sure that Gourdon is meant to be ugly. Although I don't really find him up to scratch, either (I really like the DA pets though!).

That's pretty much the issue. Properly balancing out the theme mecha and traditional mecha is what will make things work.

While I do have some issues with the storyline, there is one thing I have to argue

"Zargon has been reduced to two defenders after previous events; Starstorm and the Galactimecha"

Yes...and no. The reason why Selina's supersuits were so popular is because they actually give powers to the user. I'll admit that the prior defenders wouldn't be at their full strength, they wouldn't be totally defenseless. The bigger problem with the scene is the lack of any sort of "angel on the shoulder" sequence. Essentially, a secondary party Bat Mech, Robert, etc) to convince Selina and Robina that despite their own losses, it would be cold hearted to turn their back on our friends when we came to aid them--especially since the ShadowScythe are everyone's problem and they do not need to get a major foothold in the galaxy.

It's odd that I find myself as devil's advocate since I actually disliked the way Westion ended (despite being a diehard Westion fan). Intriguingly, I actually contemplated a way to redo the cutscene for the end of Westion that would maintain all the same events INCLUDING Korin but would be structured differently. But what's done is done.

Sure, let's meet in a chat :D

The lasers debate will be continued should we meet in chat. ;)

I will agree that some revivals of the original mecha would be nice; upgraded Katanas, Battle Hammers, Hammerheads, QWN, Star Gladius, and Kurosawas to name a few. Also, I'd like to see new mecha based off of the heads that have been in the shop; such as the Syr head or the Wolf's Head/OmniHawk heads.

Yes, that would be good :P

On the lazers thingy: It doesn't necessarily have to lock on; a wide-spread, AoE ranged attack is fine XD I don't know, but I don't think lazers the size of the ones in MQ (proportionate to the rest of their bodies) can easily be blocked by an energy shield. In fact, energy shields in MQ only exist on starships AFAIK. And even if the mecha DID have shields, they shouldn't be able to block lazers nearly the size of their heads >.>

In other cases outside of MQ, you are probably correct. In that case, MQ STILL should adjust. Enough with these crazy themed mecha; can't we have a good ol' upgrade to Katana or something? >.>
